2011-2012 Season

All concerts take place in the beautiful Sanctuary of Rock of Ages Lutheran Church (located at 390 Dry Creek Road in Sedona, Arizona). Saturday concerts are at 7:00 PM and Sunday concerts are at 2:30 PM.

FREE Kids Concert Clubs are held at 5:30 PM on the Thursday evening preceding each regular concert. A light supper is provided. Reservations are required.

Arnaud Sussmann

Arnaud Sussmann is quickly establishing a reputation as a multifaceted and compelling artist, earning the highest praise from both critics and audiences alike. Mr. Sussmann holds Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from The Julliard School, studying with Itzhak Perlman who chose him to be a Starling Fellow. Arnaud visited Sedona in October as part of Paul Neubauer's Mozart Project hosted by Chamber Music Sedona. He joins Verde Valley Sinfonietta as our featured soloist for the Arizona Centennial Concerts.

The Verde Valley Sinfonietta Board of Trustees invites you to join us for a Special Fundraising Event following our concert, Sunday, February 12th at 5:30 PM.

Enjoy a lovely western themed evening in the unique home of Gayle Taylor, a well known Sedona artist; with a sumptuous buffet prepared by Barron Unger, complimented by local wine.

Come celebrate the State Centennial and Valentine's Day dressed in your best western wear for this special event supporting our very own Sinfonietta.

Tickets are $55 and space is limited!

Emerging Artist Concert

Tchaikovsky: Serenade for Strings

Keith Buncke

Oregon bassoonist Keith Buncke, is a first-year student at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, (studying with Daniel Matsukawa.) At the Interlochen Arts Academy, he was the 2010 concerto competition winner and a semifinalist for the Presidential Scholar in the Arts award. He has attended the Aspen and Tanglewood summer music institutes and been a chamber music collaborator with Chamber Music Northwest and as a Young Artists Fellow.

 


Soiree for the Sinfonietta

Sunday's concert is followed by the annual fundraising Soiree for the Sinfonietta at the signature Sedona home of Walter and Sandy Krywucki, where Keith Buncke will perform a short program. Guests will enjoy an after concert buffet catered by Dan's Bistro, including wine and other beverages.

Space is limited and reservations are required. Last year this extraordinary event sold out completely and we apologize to those who were unable to attend.

In collaboration with the Sedona International Film Festival, this 1923 Classic Silent Movie was shown with an original orchestral arrangement by David Cripps performed by the Verde Valley Sinfonietta.
